General Discussion / Re: Adding custom prj file

For now, only EPSG coordinate systems are supported, but it will be possible in near future (around October 2022).

Well, 3Dsurvey is a survey tool, so the software focuses on accuracy rather than process speed, as it is immensely important. You can speed up the process by setting fewer tie points, but the result will be less accurate. :)

Are you using apple or android version?

To get the Beta version, simply find 3Dsurvey on the Google Play store, and click on "Join" here:

Mission planning / Re: Don't get green checkbox on "upload flight".

Hi,
It is because the Mavic Air2 drone is missing the waypoint navigation mode so autonomous flight is unsupported in pilot. You can only fly it manually and let 3Dsurvey take care of recording photos.

Unfortunately, 3Dsurvey does not support calculating pointclouds with Radeon GPUs.
In case you only have AMD GPU, it still is possible to calculate your pointcloud, but you have to calculate it without having GPU support, which consequently gives you a bit lower quality pointclouds.

General Discussion / Re: How to get resutls in GK (Gauß-Krüger)?
« on: May 05, 2022, 01:35:40 PM »
Hi,
Here is a short workflow for you:
(I copied the steps from the workflow for Belgium, so instead of Belgium coordinate system use your GK instead)

Workflow for setting up the project:
1.) Load in the images and set up the project like this:

2.) Run Exif_Extractor.exe and click on Load RTK from Photos, and then save the TXT file with GK Positions. (No need to select the coordinate system in this step, as the software automatically converts WGS coordinates extracted from images to Gauss Krueger with given transformation parameters and grid shift):

4.) In 3Dsurvey click on Reimport in the telemetry view:
(To get the telemetry window, click on Data/Telemetry and click reimport)

5) Select "Other" as "data type", then click on "Browse" to load in the "Belge 72" coordinates from Convert and set everything up like this. After that click on "Reimport":

This will overwrite the XYZ values for telemetry and move the camera position accordingly. Then just process the project normally.

Hi,
The issue here is that you are setting both "Omega-Phi-Kappa" and "Yaw pitch roll" values. Both of these represent camera orientation. Try using only "Yaw pitch roll" and setting the others to None,  and import should work.

Hi,
I think this depends on your Bricscad version. Bricscad supports importing surfaces from LandXML format. This would be your go-to option for importing the terrain model, but I see as well that this function is limited only to the Bricscad V21 Pro version.

Then there is the BIM version of Brisacad which seems to have even more surface import options. Besides there are also third party plugins for Bricscad

Hi, have you tried to use the new beta yet? If you haven't already then find the 3Dsurvey pilot  app on the Play Store, scroll down, and find the apply for Beta link, like so:

General Discussion / Re: Does 3Dsurvey pilot support Mavic Air2?
« on: April 21, 2022, 10:09:56 AM »
No, unfortunately not yet.
Mavic Air 2 is missing waypoint navigation mode, so the 3Dsurvey pilot does not support it. Only larger DJI drones have this functionality (Mavic 2 Pro, Mavic 1, Mavic Air 1).

General Discussion / Re: installation 3Dsurvey to new pc

Hi George,
Exactly, first deactivate machine on your old computer and then activate it on the new one.

28
It would work but we advise you to use GeForce 3060 as it is faster and less expensive.

General Discussion / Re: Volume calculation with custom initial base.
« on: April 07, 2022, 11:54:16 AM »
In your case, I would simply add more break-lines to define the bottom face.

Using these lines I got this bottom surface:

The volume calculation then looked like this:

This result depends a bit on how we define the bottom surface with break-lines. For best results, we would ideally take a first measurement of the terrain with no material, and then take a second measurement when the material is present. Of course, this is not always possible. In this case, we then have to define the underside as well, if possible with broken lines and points that are still visible.

Hi Andrew.

You can download the apk here:
https://apkpure.com/3dsurvey-pilot/si.modriplanet.pilot

Then try installing it on your remote controller manually.
