General Discussion / Re: Quality loss converting images from DNG to JPG?

My advice would be, to set the drone in a way to capture images in JPG format. This way you avoid quality loss when converting.

You can write to [email protected] (to confirm you have a valid licence) and we will give you a 3Dsurvey viewer licence, which you can give to your client.

Try watching this video and see if it works out.

General Discussion / Re: Keeping the recorder camera height fixed
« on: September 26, 2022, 09:56:31 AM »
You unfortunately cannot import a 3D CAD line.
However, you can click the "Reset view" button in the top left corner, giving you a perfect bird's eye view. After that just click and hold the scroll wheel, and move around. This way you will stay at the same height at all times.
You can also try using the "Free flight" mode (fourth option to the right from the "Reset view" button), which mimics the drone's flight. You use the A, S, D, and W keys to move around, always staying at the same height.

No problem, I am happy I could help.

We have not yet tested DJI Mini SE, but the app does support similar drones like mini 1 and mini 2 in the new "Free Flight" mission, which takes the images automatically while you drive the drone manually. Images are taken according to the trigger distance you set at the beginning, creating enough overlap to achieve more than sufficient precision.

To answer your second question, the new version now contains the camera settings within the 3Dsurvey pilot app making the general workflow way simpler.
The app also contains a couple of new convenient missions, which however do cost around 5€ a month.

General Discussion / Re: Does 3Dsurvey support DJI Mavic Mini 2?

You have to fly the drone manually, and the app takes the pictures.

General Discussion / Re: Поддерживает ли 3Dsurvey Pilot
« on: August 08, 2022, 02:40:43 PM »
No sorry, 3Dsurvey app only supports Phantom 4 and Mavic Pro drones.

Hi Lajos,
As for now 3D survey does support Autel Robotics EVO II PRO 6k, but 3Dsurvey Pilot app does not support it. So you have to take the photos with the Autel app or manually.

General Discussion / Re: Does 3Dsurvey support DJI Air 2s?

No, it does not, as the DJI has not released the complete SDK yet.

General Discussion / Re: Why 3d Survey closes itself unexpectedly?

Hi, sorry for the late reply.
The only thing that comes to mind is that you do not have enough RAM, but I can't be sure. If you want, you can send us your project data to this link: and we can try to repeat the mistake and analyse it.

It does, but for now only in free flight mode, which costs 4.89€ monthly.

For now, only EPSG coordinate systems are supported, but it will be possible in near future (around October 2022).

General Discussion / Re: decrease procces time

Well, 3Dsurvey is a survey tool, so the software focuses on accuracy rather than process speed, as it is immensely important. You can speed up the process by setting fewer tie points, but the result will be less accurate. :)
