Hey Jay,

Which drone do you use and which geoid model? Which coordiante system?

If you upload your photos and gcp file here:
https://3dsurvey.wetransfer.com/

I will process the dataset and check what the issue is?

Mesh / Re: Benefits of creating a full 3D mesh
« on: June 10, 2022, 10:58:34 AM »
Hey Steve,

For export to Autocad always create a Regular grid mesh. Regular grid mesh is a 2.5D data type - meaning that for one x,y position there can be only one point on the z.

Full 3D mesh is a full 3D surface, meaning that you can have multiple points for one x,y position. For example, a full 3D mesh can have some ground, some wall and some roof for specific x,y point, while 2.5D mesh would only have ground.

What is most important for you, Autocad civil 3D does not allow importing full 3D mesh models. you can only work with 2.5 D meshes.

Hi Stefan,

In few days 3Dsurvey version 2.15.1 will be released, which fixes the issue with only first scan being read when importing e57 pointcloud.

If you send me a download link for your e57, I can import it for you and send you back a 3dsurvey file with your e57 imported.

Bug Reports / Re: Black Screen of Death
« on: March 01, 2022, 10:04:06 AM »
Hm, 8GB of video memory is plenty. This can not be a reason for crashing. To try to figure out what is going on, we can schedule an online teamviewer session and try debugging your issue. If this is OK, please send me an email on support@3dsurvey.si, so that we can discuss what date best suits us for the session.

Hi Ryan, what kindo of GPU does your PC have? It could be that your GPU memory gets filled up and this crashes your 3Dsurvey. Try decreasing max render points by rightclicking on a pointcloud in pointcloud tab.

Hi Szymon,

We aready have a new Beta android version of Pilot app that should solve the issue. To apply for beta send us the email address that you use with play store.

Or wait a few weeks for official release.

Hi Efe,

If we have no prior orientation, the model is orientated, so that it is model up is facing same way as first camera position is facing. So if you first pointed your camera up, then your model might be come out somewhat correctly orientated, but I know this is not practical. We might change this in future, but for now, using transform is your best option.

Rolling shutter support is fully integrated.

Then right click on the edges of the cube and drag, to rotate your model, so that it faces right side up

Hi Efe,

Simply right click on Mesh or Pointcloud and select transform from Context menu

General Discussion / Re: Connection issue with Mavic Air 2

Hi Rabinda,

Unfortunately 3Dsurvey pilot does not support DJI Air 2S. Your drone is missing the waypoint navigation mode, and hance, 3Dsurvey pilot does not support it yet.

Best, Vid
